Maine State Climate Office  (http://www.umaine.edu/maineclimate)   Well-organized site links to many dozens of data sources on climate and climate change. Includes the Maine State Climate Office's own monthly newletter.

National Weather Service Northeast River Forecasts  (http://www.erh.noaa.gov/nerfc/guidance.shtml)  Many links to river level and flood forecasts.

Environment Canada: Canadian Meterological Service: Quebec or New Brunswick.   Current weather conditions, forecasts, satellite, and radar imagery for the areas surrounding Maine, provided by a federal agency of the Canadian government. Particularly good set of satellite and radar images put Maine at the center of the map (choose the GOES - East images for Eastern Canada). On this site you can also find Environment Canada's forecasts for Portland and several other Maine locations

Channel 13, Portland.    On the Channel 13 website, meteorologist Sarah Long provides a link to the American Meteorological Society's Datastreme Atmosphere, a professional development resource for teachers.
